“Connect” by Lisa Lewis

Written ‘In Synergy’ with “Arena” by Colin Connor

Eyes connect
Connect the dots
Dot your i’s and cross your t’s
Tease the world, seize the world
Sometimes even please the world
Bend the trees
Bend your mind
Try your best Don’t be unkind
The wind has a tight grip on you
Madly rushing through
Do you wish you could be there,
Don’t you want to be everywhere?
The plan is simple, be aware
Be present for the ones who care.

Lisa Lewis started writing poetry as a teenager, like many teens, as a means of self-expression. In 1978 as she traveled through Europe in her early twenties with just a backpack and very little money, and she wrote many poems about what she encountered and saw around her. In her thirties, writing poetry took a back seat to raising children. As she watched her now adult children both become prolific writers and music composers, she began writing more poetry again. She also has ideas for three children’s books she would like to write and has recently joined a scriptwriting workshop.
