SUBMISSIONS UPDATE!

As a response to the devastating fires in Southern California we are reopening the submission period to accept poems responding to the conflagration.  Acceptance notifications for initial submissions has been extended from February 15th to March 16, 2025.

Please submit no more than two one page poems by midnight Sunday April 27th.  Poems accepted during this submission period will also be considered for the Altadena Poetry Review print publication in 2026.

The following guidelines should be followed in order for any submission to be considered: 

  1. Submit 1 to 2 poems in response to the devastating fires in Southern California
    • Maximum length of any poem: one page, one side of page only.
    • Font: 12 pt. Times Roman OR Palatino Linotype throughout.
    Single-spaced except when stanza breaks or line breaks require double-spacing.
    Title of poem written in capital letters at top of its page.
    Your name at the end of the poem, at the bottom of the page. INCLUDE YOUR PHONE NUMBER AFTER YOUR NAME for quick access to you in case we have questions.
    • Write ONE email as described below, and attach your poems to this email.

  3. The subject line of your email will be: ANTHOLOGY SUBMISSION
